Romans, Chapter 3  (Selected verses)

9 What shall we conclude then? Are we any better?  Not at all!  We have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under sin.

19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God.

20 Therefore, no one will be declared righteous in his sight by observing the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of sin.

21 But now a righteousness from God, apart from the law, has been made known to which the Law and the Prophets testify.  22 This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.  There is no difference, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,  24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

31 Do we, then nullify the law by this faith?  Not at all!  Rather, we uphold the law.

Romans 8:31, 34

31 What, then, shall we say in response to this?  If God is for us, who can be against us?

34 Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died – more than that, who was raised to life – is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

8 The scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the Gospel in advance to Abraham, “All nations will be blessed through you.”

13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”

22 But the Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.

6 He said to me:  “It is done.  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.  To him that is thirsty I will give drink without cost from the spring of the water of life.”

23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

27 Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
